The Training Log: One Page, One Week, No App

A free one-page weekly training log built to be written on with a pen. Sets, reps, load and how it actually felt — nothing else.

A weekly training grid with rows for sets, reps, load and effort

There is a column on this sheet that most logs leave out: how it felt.

Load and reps tell you what happened. Effort tells you what is about to happen — three weeks of “harder than it should have been” is the clearest early warning of a stall or a strain you will ever get, and it is invisible if you only record numbers.

Print it, keep it in your bag, write on it with a pen.

What you get

  • One week per page — a full page is a full week, so gaps are visible
  • A column for how it felt, which is the one that predicts injuries
  • Ink-light: no heavy fills, prints fine on a tired office printer

Questions

Because a log you write on between sets is one you actually fill in, and because a phone in your hand between sets tends to become fifteen minutes of something else. If an app works for you, keep using it — this is for people it has not worked for.
Yes, in full, with no email required. Same as every guide on the site. The paid products fund it.
