PUZZLE PLAY

The Hundred, Printed and Posted

The same hundred puzzles, bound as a lay-flat book on paper that takes a pencil and an eraser without shredding. Posted to you.

A lay-flat puzzle book open on a table with a pencil beside it

The same hundred puzzles as the digital pack, in the form most people actually want them.

What binding buys you

Lay-flat, so the book stays open at page 61 while you work instead of closing itself every time you lift the pencil. It is the single difference between a puzzle book that gets finished and one that ends up in a drawer.

The paper matters more than it sounds

Uncoated, 120gsm. Pencil bites, the eraser lifts cleanly, and a biro will not bleed to the next page. Gloss photographs beautifully and is horrible to write on, which is a trade most puzzle books make in the wrong direction.

It includes the digital pack

You get the PDF as well, so any page you ruin, spill on, or want to hand to somebody else is a reprint rather than a loss.

What you get

  • Lay-flat binding, so it stays open on the page you are working
  • 120gsm uncoated stock — takes pencil, takes an eraser, does not shred
  • One puzzle per page, answers in the back
  • Includes the digital pack, so you can reprint any page you ruin

Questions

Because printing a hundred pages at home costs more than the difference and looks it, and because a bound book survives being carried around in a bag for a season. If you only want to work through a dozen puzzles, buy the digital pack and print those twelve — that is genuinely the better buy.
Uncoated 120gsm, chosen for exactly that. Glossy puzzle books look better in a photograph and are miserable to write on — pencil skates, eraser smears, ink pools. This is the opposite trade, made on purpose.
